Reading Challenge for 2014 is Almost Over!

It’s almost the end of the year and I realized I have only 10 more days after today to finish my reading challenge. I won’t be able to finish it, mostly because I deleted (by accident…I swear!) my list of books to read this year.

I do know that I read quite a few of the books on the list, so I feel pretty excited about that. I have found some new authors that I enjoy and some wonderful gems including John Green’s The Fault in Our Starsand Michelle Proulx’s Imminent Danger and How to Fly Straight Into It

I keep getting distracted by books which are NOT on my reading challenge list and so it keeps growing. I’m currently reading Talented by Sophie Davis which is the first book in a series. I’ve linked these titles to Barnes and Noble so you can read more about them if you need a reading pick-me-up before the end of the year.

Also huge thanks to Michelle Proulx who sent me bookmarks and stickers with her book’s art on them: IMG_20141221_103549I would seriously sport a hoodie with the Imminent Danger title logo on it. For reals. It was a quirky book that had me thinking and laughing. I have been looking a long time for something a little out of the ordinary and this delivered marvelously. I have the ebook version, but as soon as I can I plan to pick up a hardcover. Maybe I’ll get to meet her in person and have her sign it. :)

Anyway, I feel like reading and writing and being creative. I should probably try to rewrite the manuscript that I just lost. I thought I wrote it in icloud Pages and formatted my hard drive. Oops. Apparently I didn’t write it in icloud Pages. Bad me.

Hope you all have a great Christmas (or if you celebrate some other holiday this season then I wish you a wonderful holiday)! I hope to post more regularly soon though I’m still getting settled into my new place while working on some projects.

What is your favorite book so far this year? Did you create your own reading challenge, or just read whatever piqued your interest?
